Bern gets celebrity backing!

Having built from the ground-up to become a major player in the helmet industry, Bern helmets is continuing to go from strength to strength.
Mike Myers in Bern helmet
Where hardshell helmets used to be a rarity in many sports they are fast becoming the norm and you will find Bern on the slopes, in the park, on the street and the water in increasing numbers. The helmets endure the little dings that past headgear could not, providing safety and looking great to boot.

Now it’s often the case that celebrities jump on board when an underground product turns out to be good and things are no different where Bern is concerned; actor and comedian Mike Myers was spotted out and about brandishing his own Bern helmet in this shot from ‘People’ magazine. While the helmets are great for action sports the range is equally suited to day-to-day protection, like riding around a busy city, as Mike clearly knows!

Palmer Skier Charlie Richards

P03 Skis
Perfect for the halfpipe! With the amount of flex they have and the technology behind the camber, they're the best thing I've ridden in the pipe. As you're riding up the wall you can feel all the ski grabbing onto the the snow, and the ice on the especially cold mornings! The weight and the way it is distributed is really balanced, making it loads easier to get your skis into position in the air when going for those screamin' seamans. The flex helps whatever you are riding. You get so much spring out of them when taking off from jumps and it's virtually impossible to catch an edge when landing.

P01 Skis
These skis were a bit stiffer, but there's still enough pop in them to spin a cheeky 3 into some fresh powder. The camber helps through deep snow really trying to push you on top of it. I had a few hits in the halfpipe and on jumps with these. I was a bit scared of going switch at first with the tail not being so raised, but soon realised it didn't cause a problem one bit. Also, they have some good speed behind them when cruising on piste. A great all round ski! And an amazing powder ski!

Craig Sparkes, Kite-Buggier Pro is a committed wearer of Bern and a huge fan of the product and its reliability. He says:

"I've been riding Bern Helmets for the last 2 1/2 years before they really took off. What I like about Bern helmets is there a stylish helmet that is light weight, not bulky but most importantly is a strong & safe helmet.

"Over the past couple of seasons I have taken some pretty hard knocks to the head and have held up fine to these impacts. I would not ride another helmet now.

A huge thanks to Bern Helmets for providing the Helmet and wanting to actively promote Safety in a stylish fashion!" Visit Craig Sparkes' kite-buggy website.

Palmer "P03" Park & Pipe Twintip

Summary:
Fun and agile twintip with surprising grip underfoot for a soft-flexing park and pipe model. Super easy to ski with a comfy pivot point when mounted at the factory mark. Great choice for all-mountain frontside use as long as you don't want an uber-floater or racing ski. Intermediates could ski this ski easily and probably up their game at the same time. Doesn't have hard-core pop and explosive rebound, but precise and controlled and remarkably quick edge-to-edge or smeared. Definitely soft, but not mushy. Responsive and fun in the bumps. Handsome (rather than circus-like) graphics. Easy to be lazy on, but responds immediately when pumped hard. Pretty stable at speed for a soft twin tip. Nice mix of capabilities.

Ski Designer :
Palmer and Hansjürg Kessler (multi-time snowboard worldcup winner and design guru).

Technical Ski Data :
NCF Prepeg beech/poplar wood core sandwich construction. (more details to come) This ski has nearly identical dimensions to the Lib-Tech NAS park and pipe ski (P03 is two millimeters wider in the tail). Full 360 degree wrapped edges.
